Springman Cradle of Fate - Pérák Kolébka Osudu

THE DEADLINE WILL BE ADDED

What to Look Forward To

As you may already know, the game will be developed in Unreal Engine from a third-person perspective. I will gradually add more details regarding the overall parameters of the game. Voice acting and subtitles will be available in Czech, English, and German+ there's one new feature I'm not ready to reveal yet, so stay tuned!

Who Was Springman

Step into a world of secrets, a time brimming with excitement and legends, a time when a dark protector soared above the Czech skies – Springman. His story unfolds like a thrilling adventure, cloaked in mystery and heroism. Often referred to as the Czech Batman, Springman became an icon of courage and a symbol of resistance against injustice during the difficult days of World War II. But Springman is not just a legendary hero—he is also an enigma. His true identity remains veiled in riddles and speculation, contributing to his legendary status. Some claim he was a factory owner who decided to fight against the Nazi occupation, while others see in Springman a symbol of resistance, embodying both strength and courage. His nickname, "Springman," references his alleged ability to leap, which became the main hallmark of his legend. Many people swear they saw his dark figure moving stealthily across the rooftops of Prague in the twilight, confronting danger with immense grace and pride. His purported aerial abilities added another layer of the supernatural and mystical to his tale. Springman became a beacon of hope for those who suffered under the occupiers' rule. His bravery and tireless fight against injustice inspired many and offered comfort in difficult times. His story grew into a legend that endures to this day, serving as a reminder of human strength and courage even in the darkest hours. Nevertheless, like many legends, Springman's story remains shrouded in secrecy and doubt. Historians continue to seek the truth behind the rumors, but every new piece of information, every new testimony, only adds another layer to the mystery. Perhaps it is precisely this enigma that keeps the story of Springman alive in the memories of people and in historical records. His name stands as a symbol of courage, strength, and hope for those who seek light even in the darkest of times. Whether Springman was a real hero or merely a legend, his story remains a testament to the human spirit and determination in the face of immense trials.

Who is our Springman

Aleš Šebek, Captain of the Imperial Intelligence Service (Imperial Intelligence Service - RZS). Unlike the traditional Pérák, who was supposedly an industrialist, I made changes to his character to better fit the story set in a steampunk version of Prague. I wanted to create a more combat-capable and action-oriented protagonist. It is important to remember that this is a fantasy—whether it stems from a legend in our reality or an entirely different multiverse. If we delve into the details, Aleš Šebek was originally trained as a gunsmith. After completing his apprenticeship, he enlisted as a conscript in the Czech-Moravian Legions. His exceptional performance both in training and on the battlefield made him a prime candidate for the RZS. However, the real reason for his recruitment was his sharp wit, healthy audacity, and direct way of thinking—qualities that marked the beginning of his career in the Imperial Intelligence Service.

What will it actually be about

As previously mentioned, the game is set in a steampunk version of Prague during the night of July 27–28, 1914, marking the beginning of the First World War—or simply the World War for them (let's not get ahead of history). To immerse you into the story without revealing everything, the game begins with a seamless introduction, immediately pulling you into a tutorial with short cinematic sequences. You'll get familiar with a unique weapon designed specifically for Aleš Šebek, learn how to use the Trubkofon, and understand how different skills will be useful, how to combine them effectively, and much more. The game is a linear, narrative-driven fantasy with horror elements, and I expect it to strongly engage players from a third-person perspective. This first installment serves as the origin story of Springman—how and why he came to be. Of course, I should mention that I plan to create five games in total, but the most crucial ones for now are Springman: The Cradle of Fate – The birth of Pérák and the beginning of World War I, Springman: The Gears of the Future – Where you fully step into the role of Springman, Springman: The Order of Dampfgeis – The final chapter and the end of World War I. As for the locations, the game will feature precisely recreated streets and alleyways of Prague. You will explore Stínadla, which plays a crucial role—but I'll leave you guessing why for now. All photos and videos from these locations will be available in the GALLERY and on YouTube.

Order of Dampfgeis

An occult order that has been operating since the Middle Ages, secretly pulling the strings of world events and shaping their consequences. Sounds like a terrible cliché? Maybe—but this order is crucial to the entire game and the creation of Springman. Many years before the outbreak of World War I, the Order of Dampfgeis gradually gained influence over the German Emperor, who eventually appointed them as the official secret intelligence service of the German Empire. This granted the Order unrestricted access to manipulate events and pursue its own hidden agenda. Unfortunately, I can't reveal any more details—those are classified. But rest assured, you'll uncover everything as you progress through the game.
